How does being a vegan affect your body – Is too much of anything bad for you?

A vegan diet has many benefits and risks. A vegan diet means you will consume foods that are low in trans and saturated fats. This has high benefits for heart health. However, a vegan diet means you will lack getting nutrients that your body dearly needs and reduces your body’s ability to absorb nutrients. This is occurring due to the lack of foods from animal origin. Vegan diets consist of not eating meats nor dairy. Vegan diets lack complete source of proteins. Animal protein has complete protein while plant protein does not. Complete protein means that your body is getting all the essential amino acids. You may lose weight with a vegan diet. This is due to the calorie deficit. Most of the food that you will eat has low calories. This means you will lean out, losing a lot of fat and looking more toned. Your intake of fiber will drastically increase which is not good. Too much of anything is a bad thing! You need to find a balance. This means you need to spread out your daily intake of fiber. [1] You will be going to the bathroom more. Your body will be flushing out all the bacteria and unnecessary nutrients, which is good because you are cleaning your body. Your body will have a lot more energy. Also, your skin will be clearer which everybody likes. It will take a few weeks for your body to be adjusted. It will be hard at first but once you get used to it your body will appreciate it. You are what you eat. If you want to live a healthy life, then you have to fuel your body with healthy foods. [2]
